Mr Marco Martinello


Degree in Sociology from the University of Liège and doctorate in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute, Florence). He is also an Associate of Higher Education. He is Director of Research at the Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique (FRS-FNRS) and Director of CEDEM, of which he is a co-founder. He teaches in the field of migration and ethnic studies at the ULg and at the College of Europe (Natolin, Poland), his work is related to political sociology. They deal with issues of migration policies, citizenship, multiculturalism, racism and the political mobilisation of immigrants and minorities in Europe and North America. He is also interested in transnationalism and minority forms of artistic expression.
