----- The forum -----
In the past years, especially in 2002, 2006, 2013 and 2014, parts of the Danube River Basin District were being affected by very strong or extreme floods. These events caused significant human and economic damages in the affected countries and communities.
To actively protect the Danube Region from flood risk events, the DAREnet project and the EU Strategy for the Danube Region Priority Area on Environmental Risks jointly organise the 2nd Annual Practitioner Forum – Training Edition. This year’s virtual Practitioner Forum will focus on the subject of training. he forum will introduce selected innovative approaches from practitioner organisations from the Danube Region with the aims to facilitate discussions about solutions, challenges and needs between experts and stakeholders, also to generate project ideas.
