ARGUMENT: The evolution of the society in the area called Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion has always relied on two fundamental dimensions, the natural environment and the culture. The development process in this region was made possible through turning to good account its natural resources, underpinned by cultural and moral values, which shaped the identity of the Euroregion’s inhabitants. The topics of the Conference address top fields of economic and social research. They are of special importance as far as development strategies for Eurogions are concerned. The results will be disseminated to the administrative units of Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion.

OBJECTIVES: Evaluate the current state of socio-economic development for Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion. This approach will also present the Euroregion natural and human resources, entrepreneurial capabilities, and historical, geographical, cultural, religious, scientific, artistic and sport realities. Stimulate the dissemination of all information available and of the results of scientific researches. Present the Romanian contribution to the sustainable development of Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion. Identify new fields of research and new opportunities for colaboration and cooperation in Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion. New proposals for cooperation between researchers from Romania and Republic of Moldova, between the administrative and territorial units of Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion, and between businesspeople. Encourage university teaching staff, researchers, master students, and PhD students to contribute to the identification of short-, medium- and long-term solutions. Present the achievements of other Euroregions that are notorious for their positive results. This approach addresses some fields of knowledge: economics, sociology, agriculture, environment, health, education,culture, tourism, etc. Structure, funding, testing and application of new mathematical models and development strategies of the Euroregion Siret-Prut-Nistru with risk and uncertainty
