The Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law invites senior researchers to present their thesis, which should be at a reasonably advanced stage, at the 4th Max Planck PostDoc-Conference on European Private Law on 7 and 8 May 2012. Applications may be submitted via their supervisor or head of department.
Essentials:
We are looking for post.docs or young professors writing their senior thesis or second book in the field of European private law (private law widely conceived, so as to include, e.g., private international law, commercial law, company law, capital market law, and competition law). We also welcome contributions in legal history, and law and economics.
The contributions will not be published since most of the researchers will be publishing their work anyway.
The Institute will cover travel costs (within Europe) to and from Hamburg. We also invite all speakers to stay another day to use the library and conduct research in the institute if they would like to do so.
Researchers from all European countries (and also from outside of Europe, as long as their work relates to European private law) are welcome to apply.
