The National Institute of Research & Development for Food Bioresources (IBA) is hosting MAITRE media training seminar “Telling a Science Story at IBA” the 10th – 11th May 2012 in its premises in Bucharest, Romania. IBA is the only food research institute belonging to the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development and, therefore, the perfect location to gather food researchers and nutrition scientists

By standing on common ground with media experts, participating scientists will familiarise themselves with the inner functioning of broadcast, print and online media, as a way to better disseminate their scientific results. This hands-on seminar will address important points that researchers should be aware of when interacting with the media.

To register visit MAITRE website. Participation in this media training seminar is completely free.

Alongside its media training seminars, MAITRE’s online platform offers a database to give researchers and journalists alike the opportunity to network and thereby create a longstanding collaboration with each other.

MAITRE is a coordination and support action funded within theSeventh Framework Programme for Research and Technology development (FP7).
