This unmissable event, which combines an international exhibition and a French-speaking conference dedicated to the design and manufacture of medical equipment, will welcome more than 3,000 key visitors and 300 subcontractors.

With this fourth edition of the event being held in Lyon, MEDTEC France is making a change to meet the expectations of its visiting customers and exhibitors. “The Rhône-Alpes region has an industrial fabric of considerable importance, with numerous specialist characteristics and technological expertise linked to the healthcare sector.  This region offers us a very important pool of decision-makers in the medical industry. Furthermore, the central geographic location of Lyon is a bonus for visitors to the show” said Fabienne Valambras, MEDTEC France’s event manager. 

Convinced by the interest shown in the event, more than 50% of the exhibitors had already reserved their stand for Lyon by the time last year’s event closed. MEDTEC France 2012 promises to be an exceptional event, with, in particular, the presence of several first-time exhibitors of world renown, such as Microsoft Windows Embedded and ThyssenKrupp Materials. A real concentration of know-how, the exhibition area will gather together all the technologies and skills from the world of medical equipment.

One of the things that gives MEDTEC France its added value is that it is a forward-looking event that brings people in the medical industry together. To this end, the show offers a unique French language platform for meetings and exchanges between representatives from health institutions, experts from notified bodies, researchers from private centres or universities, manufacturers of medical devices and their subcontractors.

 Combined with the exhibition area, the programme of conferences hosted by international experts will provide a comprehensive forum on the latest news in the sector in terms of innovations for the design and manufacture of medical devices and for keeping informed about the opportunities that are emerging in the market.

During the Innovation Forum, experts will discuss the challenges, trends and development prospects concerning four main areas of interest: telemedecine, diagnosis, biomaterials and additive manufacturing. In parallel with the Innovation Forum, sessions focused on regulatory aspects and evaluations will address and discuss a wide range of issues on these topics.
