Making the European External Action Service (EEAS) a success poses one of the greatest challenges for the EU.

The appointment of David O' Sullivan, formerly Secretary General of the European Commission and Director-General of DG External Relations, as Chief Operating Officer of the EEAS shows how seriously this challenge is taken.

The IIEA Brussels Branch is delighted to have the opportunity to debate the various issues relating to the setting up of the EEAS with David.
