
Brendan Halligan is on of Ireland's foremost political analysts. He is chair of the IIEA in Dublin. He has been, inter alia, a member of the Irish Council of the European Movement, General-Secretary of the Irish Labour Party, Campaign Co-ordinator for Ireland for Europe and an MEP.
Brendan will discuss three challenges facing Ireland. The first is political and will be shaped by a new mandate for government following the upcoming general election. The second is getting the country back on an economic and social growth path. The third is rebuilding confidence between Ireland and the institutions of the European Union.
